The Movin’ for LIFE 9th Ward 5K Run/Walk will be Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, 8am to 12pm,
at Oliver Bush Playground & Park, 2500 Caffin Ave., New Orleans, LA 70117.
The Treme Brass Band will kick off the race day festivities, Tekrema Center will lead the warm-up, Doc Eric Griggs will serve as the event MC, and DJ Frost from the L9 House of Music will keep the music going post-race. Fats Domino will be honored with the Movin’ for LIFE Spirit of Community Award. On the race day, on-site registration and packet pickup will be 8am to 8:45am. The race starts at 9am.

Family Health Fair
Thanks to all who attended and supported the Movin’ for LIFE 9th Ward Family Health Fair on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, 10am to 3pm,
at St. Mary of the Angels Church Gym, 3501 N. Miro St., New Orleans, LA 70117. Admission is FREE! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
The fair included food, games, activities, music, dancing and prizes – including a bike!
