Naomi King Englar is the Communications Coordinator for the Tulane Prevention Research Center (PRC). She is responsible for all the center’s communications campaigns, including educational materials, electronic newsletters, social media, website, and traditional publications. Additionally, Naomi coordinates the center’s Health Promotion Practicum Program, which places public health graduate students in internships with the PRC’s community partners. Prior to joining the Tulane PRC, Naomi worked for five years as the government writer at The Courier, a then-New York Times regional chain newspaper in Houma, La. Naomi earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from Loyola University New Orleans in communications with honors certificate and a minor in environmental studies. Naomi loves to make flower arrangements, exercise, and travel. Her favorite sports teams are Manchester United soccer club and, of course, the New Orleans Saints.
